«UK COVID-19 MedTech Industry Landscape»
Detailed Mindmaps
UK COVID-19 MedTech Industry Landscape is a component of Deep Knowledge Group's interactive UK COVID-19 MedTech Analytics IT-Platform, which visualizes and categorizes 145 companies (categorized by sector) and 210 investors on the forefront of the right against COVID-19, and dynamically visualizes connections between companies and investors. The platform aims to cover all major sectors and relevant activities in the UK COVID-19 MedTech landscape from science to technology, R&D, treatment, diagnostic and vaccine development, and practical applications. The platform was developed in an open-access manner to provide proactive government representatives, companies, labs and scientists with the full scope of information required to accelerate the neutralization of negative post-pandemic outcomes within the UK.
Notably, the platform features a number of expansions and enhancements in comparison to its predecessor, Deep Knowledge Group’s Global COVID-19 MedTech Analytics IT-Platform. In particular, the new UK-focused database places increased emphasis on the funding and support side of the MedTech ecosystem, profiling 200 governmental and non-governmental bodies providing either monetary or in-kind support to entities working to neutralize and stabilize the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as a subset of bodies which are not yet providing major COVID-19 funding and support, but whose core missions and driving mandates would allow it. The platform also features an expanded scope of COVID-19 solutions, considering not just healthcare-related initiatives (e.g. Healthtech, vaccine and treatment development, etc.), but other types of projects working to neutralize social and economic consequences of the pandemic (such as COVID-focused FinTech and EdTech) as well.
The platform also features interactive mindmaps that visualize connections between different types of entities within the UK COVID-19 MedTech Ecosystem, making it easy for decision makers and private and public sector professionals with a vested interest in neutralizing the UK COVID-19 pandemic to obtain a precise overview of the funding and collaboration landscape, and to determine where funding bodies are providing their support, and which companies are actively collaborating with which exact labs universities and hubs.
The database is in a continuous state of development, and Deep Knowledge Group intends to expand on an ongoing basis its breadth and depth, the scale and scope of its scientific and technological sectors, the number of specific regions it covers, and the overall quantity of entities that it profiles and visualizes. In the longer term the platform is intended to serve as a distributed knowledge system, crowdsourcing additional data from relevant experts. While Deep Knowledge Group has already aggregated data from multiple reputable public sources and qualified experts within its existing network, we remain open to contributions from experts and specialists interested in expanding the scope and reach of the platform.
In addition to this, the group will also be unveiling enhanced features, including extensive filter and search functions, allowing everybody from the general public to responsible decision makers and official bodies and departments to use the platform to derive action-based answers and insights to key questions at the heart of national strategic decision making to optimize outcomes for all UK citizens in the wake of the current global COVID-19 pandemic.
