Bertrand Friguet

Bertrand Friguet works on protein modifications and maintenance as well as oxidative stress in the context of aging. Friguet was associate researcher in the laboratory of Dr. Earl Stadtman at NIH, USA, between 1993 and 1994; Junior member of the Institut Universitaire de France from 1995 to 2000; Director of the "Cellular biology and biochemistry of aging" laboratory at the University of Paris 7 - Denis Diderot from 1997 to 2008; and Director of the "Cellular biology of aging" team and also of the UR4 - UPMC from 2009 to 2013. Since 2014, he is co-leader of the team "Integrated cell aging and inflammation" and director of the UPMC CNRS 8256 joint research unit" Biological adaptation and aging" (B2A) and the INSERM U1164 ERL. He was also Director or Co-Director of twelve doctoral students since 1995 (including three in progress), and Coordinator and Partner of several European projects in FP5, 6 and 7. Bertrand has 132 publications referenced in international journals and is listed among the most cited scientists (Biology and Biochemistry) with a total of 6781 citations and an H-index of 45 (ISI Web of Knowledge) as of 2014.
