Toshiaki Higashihara

Mr. Toshiaki Higashihara has been the President and Representative Executive Officer of Hitachi, Ltd. since April 1, 2014 and has been its Chief Executive Officer since April 1, 2016. He served as Executive Officer of Infrastructure System Group of Hitachi since April 1, 2012. He served as Senior Vice President and Executive Officer of Medical Systems Business for Hitachi Ltd from April 1, 2013 to April 1, 2014. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Infrastructure Systems Group and Infrastructure Systems Company since January 1, 2014. Mr. Higashihara served as Vice President at Hitachi Ltd. since April 1, 2011 until April 1, 2013. He served as Executive Officer, In Charge of Industrial & Social System Business at Hitachi. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of Power Systems Group of Hitachi Ltd., from April 1, 2007 to March 2008. He served as a Vice President of Hitachi Ltd., from April 1, 2007 to March 2008 and Executive Officer since April 2011. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of Information & Telecommunication Systems Group of Hitachi Ltd. He has been a Director of Hitachi Ltd. since June 2014. Mr. Higashihara served as a Representative Director of Hitachi Plant Technologies, Ltd. since January 1, 2012. He served as Absentee Director at Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems Co., Ltd.

Mr. Higashihara received Master of Science in Computer Science from Boston University in September 1990 and Graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, The University of Tokushima in March 1977.
