Walter de Oude started with a strong belief – The potential of money can be unlocked for everyone, and that existing financial services were not doing a great job at it so far. As the founder and CEO of Singapore Life, he has achieved what many thought to be an almost impossible task – starting a life insurance company from scratch. This is a role for which he is very well suited – and actuary and former multinational insurer CEO. Singlife has grown from strength to strength with a fast growing capital base, continuing innovation and strong customer support. Walter has lived in Singapore predominantly since 2000, and considers Singapore to be his long term home.
