Leon Wonjae Lee
Leon Wonjae Lee is a Managing Partner and the head of Asia at Yozma Group, the father of Israeli venture capital. Under his leadership, Yozma Group Korea has established six Yozma campuses nationwide and also made over $25M investment focusing on the bio-industry. He was born in Korea, but moved to Israel when he was 12 and was educated in the ‘Chutzpah’ mind of the Israelites and the teachings of the Talmud.
Leon, a graduate of Hebrew University in Israel, has built a very diverse portfolio of professional experiences. He was the former Vice Chairman of the Korea – Israel Chamber of Commerce, and former Director of Israel – Korea Business Council. He also served as an Advisor of Technical Commercialization at the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning and Advisor of Science Commercialization at Institute for Basic Science.
Furthermore, he is the author of two books, the Creative Economy, Lessons from Israel (2013) and Global Startup Manual (2014).
