Tamyo Mbisa
Tamyo Mbisa is the Acting Head of the Antiviral Unit and Clinical Scientist within the Virus Reference Department at Public Health England.
He obtained his PhD from the University of Ottawa in Canada and had a Postdoctoral and Research Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute at Frederick, USA within the HIV Drug Resistance Program.
He co-ordinates a UK network of NHS laboratories undertaking nucleotide sequencing for antiviral resistance (UK HIV Resistance Network) and is a collaborator of the STOP-HCV consortium. His research focuses on viral drug resistance and virus-host interactions.
