Stefan Marciniak
Stefan Marciniak is Professor of Respiratory Science at the University of Cambridge and Honorary Consultant Respiratory Physician at Addenbrooke’s and Papworth Hospitals.
He is Director of the University of Cambridge MB/PhD Programme. He was himself a member of the Cambridge MB/PhD Programme before undertaking post-doctoral research at New York University funded by the Wellcome Trust and in Cambridge as an MRC Clinician Scientist. He set up his his in the Cambridge Institute for Medical Research and an MRC Senior Clinical Research Fellow. His clinical interests focus on pleural medicine, particularly the genetics of pneumothorax and the biology of mesothelioma.
