Stephen C. Balmert

Stephen C. Balmert held B.S. degree in Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh, and then joined the Little Lab to pursue Ph.D. in Bioengineering. The Little Lab presents a relatively unique opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research at the intersection between biomaterials, controlled drug delivery, and immunology. Stephen is particularly interested in the concept of developing synthetic biomaterial-based systems to communicate with and orchestrate responses from immune cells.
