Maja Pantic

Maja Pantic was born in the city of Belgrade, Serbia. She finished the high school and studied mathematics at the University of Belgrade until 1992, when she moved to the Netherlands. Maja received the MSc and PhD degrees in Computer Science from Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, in 1997 and 2001. From 2001 to 2005, she was an Assistant and then an Associate Professor in the Computer Science Department at Delft University of Technology, where she was doing research in the areas of image and video analysis of face and body gestures, affective computing, and multimodal HCI.
