Shanghai Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd. (SIBP CNBG) is a subsidiary of China National Biotech Group Corporation (CNBG), China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation. SIBP CNBG was established in September 1949, it is the main research institution of national medical microbiology, immunology, cell engineering, genetic engineering and blood products, and it is a high-tech enterprise integrating the production, study, research and marketing of biological products recognized by the state. SIBP CNBG is one of the first batch of master degree awarding units in biochemistry, molecular biology and pathogenic biology, its predecessor is Shanghai Biological Products Factory, which is directly under the leadership of the Ministry of Health.
