The Cytonet Group is an international biotech company which currently has 55 employees at the company sites in Weinheim/Germany, Heidelberg/Germany and Durham, North Carolina/USA. The company develops and manufactures liver cell therapy products which, using specially prepared human cells, can stabilize patients with certain diseases until they receive a liver transplant. In the method developed by Cytonet, liver cells from donor livers are carefully isolated and prepared in a complex procedure. The organs used are livers which are unsuitable for transplant.
