Established in 1996, the Institute for Cancer Research (ICR) serves as the focal point for academic leadership in all aspects of cancer research and education within UNTHSC and for the surrounding areas of Fort Worth and Tarrant County. The ICR serves as a multi-disciplinary institute with programs in:

Clinical investigations
Prevention and control
Early diagnosis and treatment
Behavioral oncology research
