The CIBER in its thematic area of ​​Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BBN) is currently made up of 47 research groups (45 full-fledged groups and 2 associated groups), selected on the basis of their scientific excellence, who work mainly within of three scientific programs: 1. Bioengineering and Medical Imaging, 2. Biomaterials and Advanced Therapies and 3. Nanomedicine, the center's activity being oriented both to the development of prevention, diagnosis and monitoring systems as well as to the development of technologies related to specific therapies, like regenerative medicine and nanotherapies.
