Tokoha University. Transfusion and Cell Therapy R&D Centre

Our department has a pivotal role in the development of advanced cell therapy and translational research at Kyoto University Hospital. Not only to pursue the safe and the efficient transfusion practice in the hospital, but they supply well-manufactured human tissues/cells to clinical settings for stem cell transplantations and novel cell therapies or regenerative therapies. Through investigation of the regulation of hematopoiesis and the biology of mesenchymal stem cells, they are aiming at developing innovative and translational cell therapy, regenerative therapy, and molecular target therapy for hematological disorders and other malignancies.
