The Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD) is an autonomous organization funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. CDFD also receives funding from other agencies on specific collaborative projects. Research is focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of various cellular signaling pathways and their contribution to human diseases such as cancer. Currently the lab is centered on two major themes: the phosphatase biology and the ubiquitin biology.
