Addiction Treatment Centres (CATC) is a healthcare organization of outpatient addiction treatment clinics, specializing in opiate agonist therapy. Canadian CATC clinics have been strategically located in geographic areas that are devoid of addiction services or, are generally under-serviced of all medical treatment facilities. In many of the communities where CATC provide services, without a CATC clinic, there would be no other treatment provider offering this compliment of services, leaving patients with no other option than to travel long distances to obtain treatment or receive no care at all.
