Our slogan “Health@Hand” implies the usage of a hand-held device with internet access, enabling the person seeking advice to obtain high quality health advice exchange at the tip of a finger, instantly or with insignificant delay. Global as a concept, YAPILI is meant to serve populations with a low density of doctors. Our mHealth solution leverages the increasing use of mobile technology and connectivity across African countries, in order to empower the end users and to enhance access to healthcare. It is the only peer-to-peer health platform with integrated health records and one of the very first legal frameworks defined for cross-border health advice and data privacy. We have successfully completed the pilot programme in which our mHealth solution has been tested towards 1000 users to validate technical and operational aspects as well as develop a long term financial sustainability.
