TriMod Therapeutics was founded on ground-breaking SFI-funded cancer immunology technology developed by Prof Kingston Mills at Trinity College Dublin. This TriMoVac technology enhances the patients immune response to the tumour and promotes its eradication by attenuating immune suppression strategies of the tumour. Strong proof-of-concept data has been generated in skin, colon and lung cancer models. Successful eradication of the cancer is complemented by tumour rejection when re-challenged, demonstrating the immune system has been primed to specifically target and remove the cancer. TriMod is currently optimising its TriMoVac platform and plans to begin clinical testing in cancer patients within two years.
